Day 13 – Pain and the Wisdom of Your Body

This video is about listening to the wisdom of your body. If you have a cold or a cough or the flu or a back ache or cramps, it is likely that your body has a message for you — so listen to it! Often times some part of you knows that you are on the wrong track and it tries to get your attention through pain or other symptoms. Your job is to stop, slow down, tune in, and listen for the message. It is coming from a part of you that knows the bigger plan for your life, so listen to it! Here is a simple way to talk to your body: get a piece of paper and a pen and start a dialogue like this:

Me: Hi, Body! What message do you have for me?

Body: (use automatic writing to record whatever simple direct message pops into your head here)

Me: Ok. Can you tell me more about that?

Body: (Write down whatever message you get)

Keep going back and forth with the conscious part of yourself that is holding the pen and asking the questions and the unconscious part of yourself that is giving you direct wisdom about what will help you to end the pain and move towards feeling better.
